Fire Dampers

The main term that comes to mind when we discuss the subject of fire protection is fire resistance . Fire resistance refers to the ability of building components to meet fire safety requirements under fire/flame conditions. Fire resistance can be defined as a measure of time, a time stamp during which building structural elements are able to meet performance criteria. The fire resistance class is indicated by a combination of letters and numbers. Letters stand for different performance criteria.

Requirements for fire resistance classes:
  • Load bearing capacity (R)
  • Integrity (E)
  • Insulation (I)

In turn, the numbers indicate the time during which a building structural element can meet the performance criteria when it is exposed to a flame. Based on the fire resistance test, a building structural element is assigned one of the fire resistance classes: resistance to flame exposure for 15, 20, 30, 45, 60, 90, 120, 180, 240 or 360 minutes.  One of the additional criteria applied to fire dampers is smoke (S) .

Meet the requirements of fire resistance class EIS 120, 90 and 60 – depending on the needs of customers.  Round valves from 100 to 1000 mm, rectangular valves from 160×160 to 1600×1000 mm.
